Introduction
The Tanzkongress.NITEhotel is based on the NITE Hotel, by Guy Weizman and Martijn Halie. It is conceived as a three-dimensional space through which visitors can experience media content spatially.
The Tanzkongress can be experienced here both live and on demand through selected streams, theme-related podcasts, a graphic live documentation, the adaptation of the multiscreen video installation TimeCapsule2022, a dancing 3D avatar whose movements derive from a motion-capture box in Mainz and much more.
Below you find the Tanzkongress.NITEhotel Lobby – a virtual hotel reception. This is your starting point to enter the virtual Tanzkongress 2022. Click the arrow-buttons at the bottom to navigate each space. Click on the programme, images, buttons and videos to enlarge or to control. You can also walk around freely (like in a game) by using your keyboard’s arrow keys.
The Tanzkongress.NITEhotel is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media as part of the NEUSTART KULTUR initiative, support programme tanz digital of the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
