in:sight Physical Exploration
The MA students of the contemporary dance education at Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts will give a group of young people and interested congress participants practical/physical insight into movement training on the basis of current approaches to choreography. After a kick-off with the young people and project leaders, a joint plan will be made for the congress workshops, which will be open to a limited number of accredited participants. Aside from the main didactic focus on movement training, there will be opportunities for a playful discovery of contexts. The results will be reflected in concluding feedback sessions.
The three workshops will be led by Alessandra Corti, Ronja Eick, Judith Hummel, Fanni Schack and Simon van Heddegem. Their pre-congress preparation will be guided by Susanne Triebel and Prof. Ingo Diehl.
About in:sight
in:sight offers a group of young
people from the Rhine-Main region who are enthusiastic about dance the
opportunity to participate in the dance congress in order to gain
insights into the current topics and discourses of the professional
dance scene. Guided by individual focal points of interest, the young
people decide which topics and formats they would like to participate
in. Participation in the congress will be prepared in advance through
workshops with local dance mediators as well as students of the Master's
programme for Contemporary Dance Mediation - MA CoDE at the HfMDK
Frankfurt and accompanied and deepened in discussions during the
congress days.
In the three practical workshops under the title in:sight physical exploration, which will be led by the Master's students, a space for encounter and exchange can be created between the young people and the congress participants. Through a jointly developed reflection format, the discussions and questions of the young people will be taken up and made visible.
